We have a state of the art 12,000 sq. ft. facility located in Durham, NC adjacent to the Research Triangle Park. The position includes a competitive salary and healthcare benefits.



Scientist - Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology

We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Scientist to help develop our new technology platforms and transform original research into cutting-edge medical devices and in vitro diagnostics. The successful applicant will be one who thrives on benchwork, executes original research to a high standard and can provide constructive critical assessments.



Responsibilities:




Core Activities:

  • Invent, evaluate, formulate, develop peptide reagents for multiple medical and diagnostic applications
  • Develop and evaluate methods for cell separation and purification
  • To be a Team member of an integrated product development team
  • Strategize with the scientific teams to optimize research plans
  • Assist in scientific manuscript and abstract preparations




Qualifications



  • Ph.D. with <5 years postdoctoral experience in Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Immunology, Neuroscience or related field
  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology or related field
  • 0-5 years post-doctoral experience in biochemistry, cell or molecular biology field
  • Strong molecular biology skills are a must
  • Experience in protein chemistry, a working knowledge of R and large dataset analysis is advantageous
  • Must be able to work on projects of a multidisciplinary nature
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, creative, adaptable and able to work in a team environment
  • Communicate clearly in written and verbal forms
  • Ability to meet deadlines and commitments
  • Willingness and ambition to learn and take on responsibilities
  • Authorized to work for any U.S. employer
