    Affinergy develops site-specific biological delivery systems. We construct bifunctional peptide linkers that can selectively immobilize proteins, cells, and therapeutics onto biomaterial surfaces. Affinergy's multifunctional delivery systems offer unprecedented opportunities to target and customize therapeutic delivery. We have joint research and development partnerships underway with major medical device companies including Boston Scientific, Dupont, and Synthes.

    Director of Product Development


    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement product development plans with our partners (major medical device companies) including plans and supporting activities for:

      • Research collaborations

      • Product performance specifications

      • Pre-clinical programs

      • Coordinate data aggregation for regulatory submissions

      • Manufacturing integration

      • Scale up and production issues

    • Work directly with internal research team to integrate research projects into partner development programs and timelines

    • Develop and implement product development plans for internally developed products

    • Project management activities to support overall company mission

    Qualifications:

    • 5-10 years of product development experience with a medical device company

    • Must understand biology and chemistry in the context of medical devices

    • Ph.D. in biology or chemistry is desirable

    • Specific experience getting an orthopedic or cardiovascular device from idea through approval is desirable

    • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, organized, and responsible

    • Flexibility and willingness to do many tasks as required in a small company

    • Communicates clearly in written and verbal

    • Effective team skills and ability to understand deadlines and commitments
